Come join us for an intimate evening of storytelling with the talented Kawika Kahiapo at James B. Castle High School's library. Get ready to be captivated by his life and journey through music in the islands. Don't miss this unique opportunity to connect with one of Castle's (and Hawaii's) most beloved musicians. See you there!
Kawika Kahiapo, a proud Castle High School '78 graduate, is a Grammy and Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award–winning musician, composer, and Kumu of Hawaiian slack key guitar. Deeply rooted in his Windward Oʻahu upbringing, Kawika has dedicated his life to sharing the beauty of Hawaiian music, culture, and values with audiences around the world. His artistry reflects a strong commitment to ʻohana, community, and aloha ʻāina, making him both an influential cultural ambassador and a beloved Castle alumnus.
The Castle Alumni and Community Association (CA/CA) is dedicated to strengthening the bonds between Castle High School, its alumni, and the Windward Oʻahu community. Through events, mentorship, and outreach, CA/CA supports current students, celebrates alumni achievements, and fosters pride in Castle’s legacy. Together, we honor the past, uplift the present, and invest in the future of our Windward 'ohana.
