Project Kuleana

January 12, 2021

Ever wanted to learn the many hands on layers to Hawaiian music and video production? Then this opportunity is for you!

PROJECT KULEANA is a project of Key Project, Waiheʻe.  It will introduce Waiheʻe youth to the processes and steps needed to produce a PK video through music performance and media production, audio engineering, videography, marketing, moʻōlelo and ʻōlelo Hawaiʻi, lāhui building and servant leadership.

Project Kuleana shares the perspective that KULEANA is what makes music Hawaiian. A KULEANA to the ʻāina(land) and our strong ancestral connection to it. The Project aspires to increase the innate value of Hawaiian music and the performance of it to inspire people to reflect on oneʻs own KULEANA. It encourages people to re-discover, re-connect and re-install what Hawaiian music and performers of Hawaiian music represent.
