On May 13, 2025 at the Castle Awards Ceremony, the Castle Alumni/Community Association awarded scholarships to three Castle High School seniors who will be graduating this month. Caitlin Lau and Brianne Kumashiro were recipients of $1,000 scholarships from the Castle Alumni/Community Association in memory of 1953 alumnus, Hank Iida. The $1000 WCIT Foundation scholarship went to Braylen Ah-Mow. The WCIT Scholarship was created in memory of the late Kevin Chun, 1968 Castle alum. WCIT is the architectural firm Watanabe Chun Iopa Takaki, Inc. The Foundation was created to honor the memory of two of their founders, one of which is Kevin Chun.
